Abstract
Due to the COVID-19, which the whole world is struggling with, life has been and continues to be negatively affected in all its dimensions. The negative effects of global epidemic on individuals, are especially in the physical and mental sense and these are of unexpected effects. Individuals had to spend time in limited areas due to the fact that they had to lead an isolated life in order to maintain social distance. Therefore, individuals whose movement areas are restricted in physical and mental terms, have sought alternative spaces outside the borders of their home, taking into account the physical distance. In these pursuits, camping has become one of the most preferred activities. In this context, it is observed that camping tents, caravans, etc. are the most preferred different places. However, caravans are especially preferred by people in terms of meeting the requirements and providing a more comfortable environment. In this study, it is aimed to evaluate to what extent the dynamic space caravans play an important role in the global epidemic process and to evaluate the positive / negative effects and satisfaction levels of caravan users. The phenomenological approach, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used as the research method and the participation of caravan users residing in different parts of Turkey was ensured with the questionnaire sent over the internet. After the survey and interviews, the data obtained with the participant feedback was analyzed and the viewpoints of the users towards the caravans were determined. This study is desired to contribute to the literature in the field by revealing the positive and negative of caravans, one of the most preferred dynamic places, due to the global epidemic process, which has become a current issue with Covid-19, and the restrictions it brings, pushing people to seek new places.
