Abstract

Exergy is defined as theoretical maximum work that can be acquired from a system. Technical parameters, obtained from exergy analysis which aims to maximize exergy efficiency or total exergy value, are usually either impossible to implement physically or economically unfeasible. Thus, economical factors, for instance cost, should be kept in consideration during evaluation of the results of exergy analysis. Such an analysis is known as exergoecenomical analysis. With using exergoeconomic analysis, it is determined unit exergetic cost of system and effecting parameters of system these cost. In this study, Exergoeconomic analysis was applied the cogeneration system with selected parameters which were compressor pressure ratio, regeneretaion efficiency and pinch point of HRSG. For obtaining minimum specific exergetic cost of products, the system was analyzed. İt was obtained optimum parameters of systems and compared with technical parameters which at maximum exergetic efficiency and total exergy states.

Keywords: Exergy analysis; exergoeconomic analysis; exergetic cost; cogeneration system.
