3d Design Practice in Fundamental Design Course Using Distance Education Method

Although distance education method has become popular with education 4.0, it is known that it started with letter education. Then the distance education model, which continues via radio and television, has become professional with the invention of the internet. First, middle, high school, undergraduate and graduate education can be offered with the distance education model offered for those who cannot carry out the formal education process. In addition, distance education model is actively used in term trainings. However, all of the training provided includes theoretical topics or can offer computer based training. Therefore, the services offered by distance education were left optional. The Covid-19 outbreak at the end of 2019 started a new era in education. Due to the urgent decision of all educational institutions due to the fact that the spread of the epidemic could not be stopped, the formal education process was stopped in March 2020 and it was decided to implement a distance education model in all schools. Although this decision does not cause difficulties in the theoretical lessons of the school, it has started discussions for applied lessons, so experts are conducting research to adapt the applied lessons to the distance education model. In this research, the most important process of the Basic Design course, which has fully applied content, is to adapt the process of teaching 3d design to the distance education model. At the end of the five-week training, students were surveyed and the success of the distance education model was measured by analyzing the data obtained.
