Design Department of Internet News Sites Structures and Art Management

Due to the development of computer and internet technologies, there have also been major changes in media tools. A process in which the traditional media tools are transformed and the new media tools enter the lives of people continues today. News media within new media tools are among the most important channels that can reach a wide audience. News sites are also handled in the context of desktop publishing in art research with visual elements. The fact that news sites have aesthetic values within the scope of desktop publishing, which is one of the most important art fields of our day, is directly related to the construction processes of news sites. In this study it was identified most frequently visited news sites in Turkey and were interviewed by officials of these news sites. In the interviews, the structuring of design departments of news sites, the existence and function of art directors were questioned. In the literature section of the study, art directorate in other art branches was mentioned and in the context of desktop publishing, art management model was determined in news sites. Combined model and obtained data were combined and recommendations were made on structuring design departments of news sites.
